After graduating in Civil Engineering, he began his career in the early 1980s working in systems analysis for Freight Computer Services (part of the National Freight Consortium), followed by Excel Logistics, later acquired by DHL.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s1\">His work spanned fashion retail, grocery and leisure sectors, designing and implementing systems for both small independent operators and major multinational organisations.
